Know Exactly What You Make: Real-Time Trucking Earnings Dashboard

Ask any owner-operator what they actually take home after expenses and most cannot give you a straight answer. According to ATRI, the average owner-operator grosses $220,000-$280,000 per year, but after $180,000-$220,000 in operating costs, the actual take-home ranges from $40,000 to $100,000 depending on efficiency. The problem is that most drivers do not know which end of that range they are on until tax time. TRU LOAD gives you a live earnings dashboard that shows exactly where you stand — right now.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does TRU LOAD know my revenue?+

TRU LOAD tracks revenue from your dispatched loads. When you confirm delivery and generate an invoice, the load revenue is added to your earnings. You can also manually enter revenue from loads booked outside TRU LOAD. The system tracks gross revenue, detention pay, lumper reimbursements, and fuel surcharges separately.

What is the difference between gross and net earnings?+

Gross earnings = total revenue from all loads and accessorials. Net earnings = gross minus all operating expenses (fuel, insurance, truck payment, maintenance, tolls, etc.). Net is what you actually take home. Most drivers only track gross and are shocked when they calculate net. TRU LOAD shows both in real time.

Can I set earnings goals?+

Yes. Set weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual earnings goals. TRU LOAD shows a progress bar and estimated completion. It also shows how many loads at your average rate you need to hit your goal. If you are falling behind, you will know early enough to adjust.

How accurate is the net per mile calculation?+

Extremely accurate when you use TRU LOAD consistently. Net per mile = (total revenue - total expenses) / total miles driven. TRU LOAD gets revenue from your loads, expenses from receipt scanning and recurring entries, and miles from GPS. The more data it has, the more accurate your numbers.
