Terms of Service

Last updated: March 24, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TRU LOAD (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. TRU LOAD is operated by Tru Load, Inc. (“Company”, “we”, “our”).

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 21 years old to use TRU LOAD as a driver
  • Drivers must hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Carriers and drivers must maintain active FMCSA operating authority
  • Shippers must provide valid company information and DOT number where applicable
  • All users must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information

3. FMCSA Verification

TRU LOAD verifies DOT and MC numbers against the FMCSA SAFER system. Users must be authorized to operate before accessing load board features. Falsifying FMCSA credentials will result in immediate account termination.

4. Load Board & Bidding

  • Loads posted on TRU LOAD represent binding offers when accepted
  • Quick-booking a load creates a binding rate confirmation
  • Bids are binding once accepted by the shipper
  • Cancellation after booking may result in TONU charges

5. Detention Pay

  • Detention rates and free time are locked in the rate confirmation at booking
  • GPS geofence detection initiates detention tracking automatically
  • Shippers are auto-billed after the 30-minute dispute window expires
  • TRU LOAD charges a 5% platform fee on all detention amounts
  • Disputes must be filed within 30 minutes of geofence exit
  • TRU LOAD does not guarantee detention payment in the event of shipper payment failure

6. Payments & Fees

  • All payments are processed through Stripe
  • Transaction fees vary by subscription tier (0% to 3%)
  • Subscription fees are billed monthly or annually as selected
  • Shipper posting fees: $25/load or $299/month unlimited
  • Factoring advances: 2.9% of invoice amount
  • Fuel advances: $5 flat fee per advance
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice

7. Voice Assistant

The “Hey Tru Load” voice assistant processes voice commands to perform actions on your behalf. Voice actions (such as booking a load) are binding. The voice system may misinterpret commands in noisy environments — always verify actions on screen before confirming. TRU LOAD is not liable for actions taken based on misinterpreted voice commands.

8. AI Disclaimer

TRU LOAD uses AI for load matching, rate analysis, fatigue detection, and other features. AI recommendations are informational and not guarantees. The rate confirmation analyzer flags potential issues but does not constitute legal advice. Safety suggestions (fatigue alerts) are recommendations — drivers maintain full responsibility for safe operation of their vehicles.

9. Limitation of Liability

TRU LOAD is a technology platform connecting shippers and carriers. We are not a broker, carrier, or shipper. We do not take possession of or responsibility for freight. Our liability is limited to the fees paid to us in the 12 months preceding any claim. We are not liable for cargo damage, loss, delays, or injury arising from transportation services arranged through the Platform.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms, fraudulent activity, FMCSA authority revocation, or non-payment. You may terminate your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be retained as required by law (see Privacy Policy) and then deleted.
